PROGRAMMES FOR TUESDAY ORGAN RECITALS: JANUARY 2018

1300-1345

We welcome you to our historic series of Tuesday lunchtime organ concerts. This is one of London’s longest established and most notable organ series, in one of Wren’s finest City churches, enhanced in the current generation by the installation of our fine Klais organ. For over a century City workers have found solace and inspiration by coming to hear music at lunchtime in this space. Admission is free, but the expenses of our music ministry are considerable, and we are most grateful for your generosity in the retiring collection.

COMING UP SOON

In February and March, we are delighted to present another series of outstanding school-age organists from around the UK. The energy and commitment of these young artists will entrance audiences  as in previous years. We thank our sponsors Andrew Gillett and Rob Miller for their continuing support towards the expenses of organising these recitals.

During the five Tuesday lunchtime concerts in May, we are delighted to present the thirteenth annual series of John Hill recitals, supported by several  generous and enthusiastic individual donors. This year again we feature international young artists hand-picked by professors at the top music conservatories of the world.

All requests are welcome for another “lollipops” programme on 31st July. Please submit to cmennis@aol.com or to Catherine Ennis, The Vestry, St. Lawrence Jewry next Guildhall, London EC2V5AA.

You are invited to reserve any applause until the end of the recital and to give generously to the retiring collection.
