St Lawrence Jewry currently has three members of staff plus two key volunteers.

The Guild Vicar is currently vacant. Estimated installation of the new vicar is in early 2023, when the church reopens to the public.  If you have queries about this, then please contact the Chairman of Guild Church Council, Mr Jamie Ingham Clark at jamie@stlawrencejewry.org.uk.

James McVinnie is the new Organist and Music Director of the church, replacing Catherine Ennis, who sadly passed away in December 2020.  He is known as Jamie to his friends.  He was Catherine's most trusted deputy and had played for us in many of our services/recitals when she was not available.  He was the Assistant Organist of Westminster Abbey between 2008 and 2011. Prior to this appointment, he held similar positions at St Paul’s Cathedral, St Albans Cathedral, and Clare College, Cambridge where he studied music. His teachers were Sarah Baldock, Thomas Trotter and Hans Fagius. He made his debut at London’s Royal Festival Hall in March 2014, giving one of the six reopening recitals on the refurbished iconic 1954 Harrison & Harrison organ. He made his solo debut in the Salzburg Festival at age 26 performing with the Freiburg Baroque Orchestra under Ivor Bolton.
