Recital Series
Music recitals have been a regular feature at St Lawrence Jewry since they were introduced by Margaret Cobb (the church organist at the time) in 1957.
The programme is formed to create an invaluable platform for both professionals and conservatoire students to perform in a presitigious central London location.
Traditionally these were limited to just organ and piano, but are now varied, with different soloists, ensembles, and repertoire being showcased on a week by week basis.
Recitals are held on Tuesdays at 1.00pm during term time, for up to 40minutes. The timing, and relaxed environment for the audience, perfectly fits into the lunch break of many city workers and visitors.
Entry is free (unless otherwise advertised) with a retiring collection to support the music ministry of St Lawrence Jewry, the upkeep of our instruments, and the administration of the series.
PLEASE NOTE THAT THE RECITAL SERIES IS CURRENTLY ON HOLD UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE
