St. Lawrence Jewry is a very special place in the heart of the City of London.
Designed by Sir Christopher Wren, the beauty of the building is breath-taking and provides an oasis of calm and a place in which to be still for moment during the business of our everyday lives. The church building includes some fine examples of architecture, stained glass window design, and musical instrument. But, above all, it is a place of prayer and worship to Almighty God.
As the official church of the Corporation of London we work to support, pray for, and offer chaplaincy to the civic City, including the Lord Mayor, Sheriffs, Aldermen, Common Council, and the wider community of officers and staff who work for the Corporation. As a Guild Church we are committed to being a part of the life of the City and the people who live, work, and pass through daily.
We hope that from the moment you walk through the doors you will encounter a sense of God and of ChristianCwith the City of London.
St. Lawrence Jewry offers a welcome to everyone. We do not charge an entry fee, however a donation would be kindly appreciated towards the work of keeping this beautiful building open.
